9 Apr – Cinema Online had a special look at new local creep-fest "Jangan Tegur" when we paid a visit to the shooting set at a bungalow in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur on 9 April 2008. The shooting of Julia Ziegler's shrill screaming scene in a bedroom was inspired by Hollywood's "The Exorcist" franchise and "The Exorcism of Emily Rose".
According to the director Pierre Andre, who is also the scriptwriter and lead actor of the movie, his passion for horror and all things macabre is what spurred him to make this movie, following his other scary movie exploits in last year's record-breaking "Jangan Pandang Belakang" and "Congkak", a movie poised for more box office success when it opens next week.
"Jangan Tegur" is Pierre's third film after "9 September" last year and "I'm Not Single", which is expecting general release some time this year. It revolves around the story of Natasya (Julia Ziegler) who is haunted by creepy images that only she can see. The storyline also incorporates ghostly possession and non-stop suspense throughout the movie. It stars Julia Ziegler, Pierre Andre, Nadia Mustafar, Ellie Suriaty, Azri Iskandar, Almy Nadia, Rozita Che Wan and Kaza.
"Jangan Tegur", the 28th movie produced by MIG is 80% completed and is expected to see wide releases next year.
